Lead Proposal Developer

Job Summary

Leading complex proposals and interviews, the full-time remote Lead Proposal Developer will manage multidisciplinary responses for Water & Environment pursuits, write and design persuasive materials, and mentor colleagues to enhance proposal practices across the organization.

Key responsibilities

• Independently manage complex RFQ, RFP, and statement of qualifications responses, guiding teams through strategy sessions and reviews
• Research, write, and design original proposal content and materials, ensuring compliance with solicitation requirements and brand standards
• Mentor proposal professionals and lead initiatives to improve proposal workflows, quality standards, and training across the department

Required qualifications

• Associate's or bachelor's degree in communications, English, journalism, marketing, graphic design, or a related field, or equivalent experience
• At least seven years of progressive proposal development and management experience in the architecture, engineering, and construction industry
• Demonstrated technical writing, editing, and graphic design expertise, with proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite and Microsoft Office tools
• Strong command of structured proposal development and compliance processes, including experience with the Shipley process
• Experience mentoring colleagues and leading process improvements within proposal teams
