Job Summary
Seeking a Lead Protective Relaying Engineer for a contract-to-permanent position that will manage protection system calculations, develop relay settings for high-voltage substations, and perform system analysis, with the flexibility of a remote work arrangement.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead protection system calculations, coordination studies, and technical analyses for utility and industrial clients
- Develop and validate protective relay settings for HV/EHV substations, transmission lines, and various electrical protection devices
- Perform protective relaying event report analysis and support NERC PRC compliance evaluations
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering with a focus on Power or Power Systems
- 8+ years of relevant electrical engineering experience in power system protection and protective relaying
- Hands-on experience with microprocessor-based relays and protection coordination software
- Demonstrated experience developing protection schemes for HV/EHV systems
- Familiarity with NERC PRC compliance evaluations and protective relaying event analysis
