Lead QA Engineer

Job Summary

Owning the testing strategy and quality standards, the full-time remote Lead QA Engineer will manage both manual and automated testing processes, mentor other engineers, and act as the primary quality assurance contact across projects.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead test strategy and quality standards across multiple projects, determining the balance between automated and manual testing
• Build and maintain automated test suites using Playwright and validate compatibility through BrowserStack
• Translate ambiguous requirements into actionable test plans and acceptance criteria, ensuring comprehensive coverage and quality

Required Qualifications

• 6-8 years of experience in software quality assurance or testing, preferably in consulting or multi-stakeholder environments
• Strong hands-on experience with Playwright for automated test suite development
• Experience using BrowserStack or similar platforms for cross-browser/device compatibility testing
• Deep knowledge of manual, exploratory, and regression testing methodologies
• Proven ability to translate ambiguous requirements into clear test plans and acceptance criteria
