Lead Research Engineer
Job Summary
Leading the design and development of advanced algorithms and software systems, the part-time Lead Research Engineer will manage project performance and deliverables while working remotely with occasional onsite activities.
Key responsibilities
- Lead the design, development, and evaluation of advanced algorithms and software systems
- Manage project performance, schedule, staffing, and budget to ensure timely preparation of deliverables
- Develop tools for decision support and advanced AI reasoning to assist operational planners
Required qualifications
- BS, MS, PhD, or equivalent experience in computer science or a related software development field
- 7+ years of relevant experience (BS), 5+ years (MS), or 2+ years (PhD)
- Fluency in Python and demonstrated experience with data science and algorithm development
- Experience in Program Management for defense R&D
- U.S. Citizen with the ability to obtain a Top-Secret security clearance
