Lead Research Specialist
Job Summary
Performing a variety of specialized and complex research and laboratory tests, the temporary full-time Lead Research Specialist will work under minimal supervision to analyze results, assist in protocol design, and train others in laboratory techniques at an Atlanta location.
Key responsibilities
- Conducts specialized research and laboratory tests while applying scientific techniques independently
- Assists in planning and scheduling research procedures and proposes alternative experimental methods
- Monitors laboratory processes to maintain quality assurance standards and records results of studies
Required qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in a scientific field
- Two years of research experience or equivalent combination of experience, education, and training
- Experience in calibrating and maintaining laboratory equipment
- Ability to analyze and interpret research data
- Familiarity with safety protocols for handling hazardous substances
