Job Summary
Leading the engineering team in a remote capacity, the full-time Lead Software Engineer will drive architectural decisions, mentor engineers, and partner with cross-functional teams to develop scalable solutions for a cyber insurance platform.
Key Responsibilities
- Own and drive architectural decisions across the platform, including API design and infrastructure
- Lead, mentor, and develop a team of engineers through hands-on coaching and code reviews
- Serve as the primary technical partner to underwriting and product leadership, translating business requirements into technical solutions
Required Qualifications
- 7+ years of professional software engineering experience, with at least 3 years in a lead or principal capacity
- Proven ownership of complex, production-grade systems from architecture through deployment
- Expert command of software engineering principles, including clean code and distributed systems
- Demonstrated ability to communicate technical strategy clearly to non-engineering stakeholders
