Lead Software Engineer
Job Summary
Leading a Product Engineering squad, the full-time remote Lead Software Engineer will design and write backend code in C#/.NET microservices, oversee technical direction, and mentor team members while ensuring the reliability and performance of the Integrated Training and Learning platform.
Key responsibilities
- Own the technical approach for the squad's roadmap, collaborating with the product owner to define problems and design solutions
- Lead the development of new features and services, ensuring frequent, low-risk production deployments
- Mentor engineers through design reviews and code reviews, fostering a culture of learning and continuous improvement
Required qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in computer engineering, computer science, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience
- Seven years or more of professional software engineering experience with production web applications and distributed services
- Five years or more of hands-on experience with C# and .NET, including designing backend services and APIs
- Deep experience with distributed, event-driven architectures and familiarity with CQRS and domain-driven design
- Experience building and operating services in Azure or an equivalent cloud platform
