Lead Software Engineer

Job Summary

As a fully remote opportunity, the Lead Software Engineer will play a critical role in building the Software & AI function from the ground up, focusing on designing, developing, and delivering internal software platforms and AI integrations while leading external engineering partners.

Key responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain production-quality software applications and AI-powered solutions that enhance business operations
• Lead technical architecture and establish development standards while managing external engineering teams and ensuring quality deliverables
• Collaborate with stakeholders to translate business needs into scalable technology solutions, balancing immediate requirements with long-term goals

Required qualifications

• 10+ years of professional software engineering experience with a focus on production software systems
• 3+ years in a technical lead role, overseeing external engineering contractors or teams
• Experience with large language models (LLMs) and developing APIs and data pipelines
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience
• Advanced proficiency in Python and strong skills in at least one additional language such as C# or TypeScript
