Job Summary
As the technical lead for a remote, full-time opportunity, the Lead Software Engineer, Search will architect and scale semantic search capabilities using OpenSearch, focusing on query pipelines, search relevance, and data ingestion processes.
Key responsibilities
- Architect and implement hybrid search capabilities utilizing OpenSearch
- Continuously evaluate and optimize search relevance and ranking models
- Maintain and evolve core data ingestion and indexing pipelines
Required qualifications
- 7+ years of professional software development experience in a technical leadership role
- Deep expertise in building and scaling OpenSearch or Elasticsearch clusters
- Proven experience with semantic search and hybrid search scoring models
- Strong proficiency in backend programming languages such as GoLang, Scala, or Java
- Experience with relational databases, schema design, and distributed messaging tools like Kafka or RabbitMQ
