Lead Software Quality Engineer
Job Summary
Leading the development of automation strategies and testing solutions for the Dealer Inspire product, the full-time Lead Software Quality Test Engineer (Playwright) will mentor a team of SDETs, evaluate software functionality, and execute a variety of tests including functional, integration, and performance testing, while working remotely and based in the Chicago area.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and implement automated testing strategies and document test practices for software products
- Lead the establishment of software testing processes and tools, mentoring engineers in test automation
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to build and execute tests, analyzing results and communicating findings to stakeholders
Required Qualifications
- Minimum 8+ years of experience as a Software Engineer, Software Engineer in Test, or related functions
- In-depth knowledge of testing web-based applications using Playwright, including both UI and web service layers
- Advanced debugging skills and proficiency in software development languages and testing tools
- Strong analytical skills for collecting and interpreting test result data
- Excellent mentoring and communication abilities to guide and train team members
