Lead Systems Administrator

Job Summary

To support a collaborative infrastructure team, the full-time salaried Lead Systems Administrator will design, implement, and maintain infrastructure systems while providing technical leadership and mentorship to team members.

Key responsibilities

• Lead technical projects, ensuring they are well-developed and completed on time while collaborating with stakeholders to clarify business requirements
• Provide mentorship and guidance to System Administrators, fostering a culture of collaboration and continuous improvement
• Design, build, and deploy new systems and processes, and perform routine maintenance including updates, backups, and disaster recovery

Required qualifications

• Bachelor's degree with 6+ years of experience in a systems administration role, or an associate degree with 9+ years, or high school equivalency with 12+ years of experience
• Experience with Linux and Windows administration, MS Intune, and managing backups and MFA solutions
• Proficiency in scripting with SCCM (PowerShell) and knowledge of VMware vSphere and Azure cloud infrastructure
• Understanding of network protocols and ITIL framework
• Ability to work outside of business hours as needed and manage multiple priorities simultaneously
