Lead Technical Business Analyst
Job Summary
To support large-scale Medicaid modernization and interoperability initiatives, the full-time Lead Technical Business Analyst will work remotely, focusing on translating complex Medicaid data and workflows into scalable FHIR-based solutions while engaging with stakeholders and ensuring compliance with CMS standards.
Key responsibilities
- Translate state Medicaid business requirements and CMS mandates into FHIR-aligned technical requirements
- Serve as a technical translator between Medicaid business stakeholders and engineering teams, ensuring clear communication of FHIR concepts
- Lead analysis and documentation for mapping Medicaid data to and from FHIR, including defining and maintaining FHIR profiles and extensions
Required qualifications
- 9+ years of experience as a Business Analyst or Technical Business Analyst in healthcare or public sector systems
- Strong Medicaid domain expertise, including MMIS and state Medicaid operations
- Hands-on experience with FHIR (R4) in production or large-scale implementations
- Demonstrated experience performing data translation between legacy Medicaid formats and FHIR
- Proven ability to work effectively in architecture-driven delivery models
