Lease Accountant
Job Summary
To support lease management functions, the full-time Lease Accountant will perform a variety of accounting tasks in accordance with GAAP and ASC 842, including lease setup, payment initiation, and documentation, while working remotely.
Key responsibilities
- Develop strong relationships with department lease contacts to ensure accurate data and financial controls in lease processing
- Evaluate and enhance lease processes for efficiency while adhering to internal control measures
- Maintain lease software to ensure accurate financial data submission during month-end processes and assist with budget and audit documentation
Required qualifications
- Bachelor of Science in Accounting or Finance, or a related degree with a concentration in Accounting or Finance
- Prior experience with Accounting Standards Codification (ASC) 842 or Lease Accounting
- Proficiency in using computers and spreadsheet software
- Ability to develop and submit analytical financial data as required
- Experience in lease management and financial documentation processes
