Ledger Control Accounting Manager
Job Summary
A company in the Financial industry is looking for a Ledger Control Accounting Manager.
Position Responsibilities:
- Maintain the general ledger, including journal entries, account reconciliations and aspects of the month-end close across all accounting bases
- Manage coordination of audit and review processes, maintain an effective control environment, and ensure adherence to technical accounting policies and procedures
- Implement and ensure adherence to MARS controls pertaining to accounting and financial reporting processes
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting/Finance or equivalent work experience
- Five (5) years of accounting experience in progressive roles
- Excellent working knowledge of US GAAP, IFRS and US Statutory accounting for Life & Health Insurance Companies and/or Financial Services organizations
- Minimum four (2) years of public accounting experience preferred
- Active CPA license required/preferred
