Legal Engineer
Job Summary
To support the evaluation and enhancement of legal AI systems, the full-time remote Legal Engineer will design and implement quality assurance evaluations, provide legal domain advice to product teams, and identify system improvements to maximize legal quality in NetDocuments' products.
Key responsibilities
- Define and implement trustworthy evaluations and software tools for legal AI output quality
- Advise product teams on legal accuracy in specifications, prompts, and product copy
- Identify and recommend changes to existing systems that enhance legal quality performance
Required qualifications
- JD, LLB, or equivalent legal qualification, or a Bachelor's Degree with 3+ years of relevant experience
- Experience in building executable software systems that improve legal workflows
- Familiarity with structured data formats such as JSON, XML, and Markdown
- Experience utilizing agentic AI systems for legal and software development tasks
- Ability to communicate effectively between legal and technical teams
