Job Summary
To support its mission of advancing civil rights and economic justice, the remote 2027/2028 Legal Fellow will manage legal research, assist in developing high-impact cases, and collaborate with community partners while working within a public interest legal nonprofit.
Key responsibilities
- Conduct legal research and analysis to support case development
- Collaborate with state and local government offices on legal strategies and enforcement initiatives
- Engage with community organizations to build partnerships and enhance outreach efforts
Required qualifications
- Juris Doctor (JD) degree or equivalent legal education
- Experience in public interest law or community organizing
- Familiarity with civil rights issues and economic justice initiatives
- Demonstrated commitment to diversity, equity, and inclusion in legal work
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a remote environment
