Legal Research Staff Member
Job Summary
Joining a dynamic research team, the full-time Member of Technical Staff, Legal Research will design evaluation frameworks for AI agents in legal domains, conduct original legal research, and collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to advance AI performance in complex legal tasks remotely.
Key responsibilities
- Design and evolve evaluation frameworks, including benchmark suites and scoring methodologies for AI in legal contexts
- Conduct original research on legal reasoning, statutory interpretation, and workflow automation
- Analyze model performance and publish internal research findings and best practices
Required qualifications
- Advanced degree in Law (JD, LLM, SJD, PhD in Law, or equivalent)
- Deep expertise in one or more legal domains such as corporate law, contracts, or intellectual property
- Demonstrated experience in legal research, analysis, or policy work
- Experience developing structured methodologies for assessing legal arguments or outcomes
- Exceptional analytical reasoning and written communication skills
