Legal Research Technical Staff
Job Summary
Joining a remote team, the full-time Member of Technical Staff in Legal Research will design and evolve evaluation frameworks for AI agents in legal domains, conduct applied research on legal reasoning, and collaborate closely with researchers and engineers to enhance enterprise AI performance.
Key responsibilities
- Design and develop evaluation frameworks, benchmark suites, and scoring methodologies for AI in legal contexts
- Conduct original research on legal reasoning, statutory interpretation, and workflow automation
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to assess and improve legal-focused AI models and systems
Required qualifications
- Advanced degree in Law (JD, LLM, SJD, PhD in Law, or equivalent)
- Deep expertise in legal domains such as corporate law, contracts, or regulatory compliance
- Demonstrated experience in legal research, analysis, or policy work
- Experience in developing structured methodologies for assessing legal arguments and outcomes
- Exceptional analytical reasoning skills and experience working in interdisciplinary teams
