Licensed Assistant General Counsel

Job Summary

Seeking a remote Director, Assistant General Counsel, the ideal candidate will manage legal compliance for marketing, consumer protection, and intellectual property, while supporting the executive team in shaping legal strategies and frameworks.

Key responsibilities:

• Oversee legal review of marketing content to ensure compliance with applicable laws and regulations
• Advise on subscription commerce law and manage legal considerations for influencer partnerships and activations
• Lead privacy compliance efforts and provide legal support for commercial contracts and intellectual property matters

Required qualifications:

• J.D. degree and active bar membership in good standing
• 10+ years of legal experience, preferably in both law firm and in-house roles
• Strong knowledge of consumer protection law, advertising regulations, and subscription commerce
• Experience managing outside counsel and legal budgets effectively
• Proven ability to provide practical legal advice in a fast-paced environment
