Job Summary
Supporting a dynamic legal team, the full-time remote Licensed Associate General Counsel will manage legal work related to product development, regulatory strategy, and dispute resolution while advising executives and ensuring compliance across multiple jurisdictions.
Key responsibilities
- Lead the legal processes for product design, regulatory filings, and compliance, maintaining a comprehensive overview of state approvals and deadlines
- Shape regulatory and legislative strategies by responding to inquiries and coordinating licensing matters for domestic and international operations
- Serve as a senior legal partner to various teams, translating legal requirements into actionable steps and managing litigation strategies effectively
Required qualifications
- J.D. and an active license in at least one U.S. jurisdiction
- 8+ years of legal experience with a focus on insurance regulatory work and multistate product filings
- Significant in-house experience advising executives in regulated businesses
- Experience managing outside counsel in litigation and disputes
- Practical experience using AI in legal work, with a solid understanding of governance and confidentiality
