Job Summary
Leading interconnection and power systems studies for utility-scale solar and storage projects, the full-time Licensed Associate Principal Electrical Engineer will manage project scopes, budgets, and schedules while mentoring junior engineers and serving as a key contact for clients and utilities in a remote work environment.
Key responsibilities
- Lead interconnection projects across various ISOs and utility systems, guiding clients through the study process
- Oversee the technical and delivery performance of multiple projects, ensuring compliance with relevant standards and regulations
- Prepare and approve technical reports and documentation for ISO and utility submissions, maintaining quality assurance
Required qualifications
- Bachelor's, Master's, or PhD in electrical engineering with a focus on power systems
- 8+ years of experience in power system studies, specifically in generator and large load interconnection
- Hands-on experience with PSS E, PSLF, PSCAD, and other relevant software
- Strong knowledge of interconnection processes across multiple ISOs and utilities
- Proven ability to lead engineering teams and manage client relationships across concurrent projects
