Licensed Behavioral Health Clinician
Job Summary
To support the delivery of mental health and substance abuse services, the full-time Licensed Behavioral Health Clinician will perform clinical reviews, assess care appropriateness, and engage with healthcare providers remotely.
Key responsibilities
- Evaluate treatment for mental health and substance abuse to ensure medical appropriateness before, during, and after services
- Conduct prior authorization reviews and concurrent reviews of behavioral health inpatient care
- Analyze member data to improve service quality and utilization while providing education on the utilization process to providers and families
Required qualifications
- Master's degree in a relevant field required
- License to practice independently, such as LCSW, LMHC, LPC, LMFT, LMHP, or RN
- 2-4 years of related experience in behavioral health
- Clinical knowledge of treatment plans related to mental health and substance abuse preferred
- Experience working with healthcare teams to review care services preferred
