Licensed Behavioral Health Clinician
Job Summary
To ensure the medical appropriateness of mental health and substance abuse care, the full-time Licensed Behavioral Health Clinician will perform clinical reviews, monitor treatment plans, and conduct prior authorization reviews in a remote setting.
Key responsibilities
- Evaluate members' treatment for mental health and substance abuse to ensure appropriate levels of care
- Perform prior authorization and concurrent reviews to assess treatment needs and discharge planning
- Provide education to providers and families regarding the behavioral health utilization process
Required qualifications
- Master's degree in a relevant field required
- License to practice independently as an LCSW, LMHC, LPC, LMFT, LMHP, or RN required
- 2-4 years of related experience in mental health and substance abuse
- Clinical knowledge of treatment plans related to mental health and substance abuse preferred
- Experience working with healthcare teams in utilization review preferred
