Licensed Behavioral Health Clinician
Job Summary
To support mental health and substance abuse care, the full-time Licensed Behavioral Health Clinician will perform clinical reviews and assessments, ensuring the medical appropriateness of services while working remotely with a preferred schedule of Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM CST.
Key responsibilities
- Evaluates treatment for mental health and substance abuse to ensure appropriate levels of care
- Conducts prior authorization reviews and concurrent reviews of behavioral health inpatient services
- Analyzes member data to enhance service quality and utilization, while providing education to providers and families
Required qualifications
- Graduate of an accredited nursing school or Bachelor's degree with 2-4 years of related experience
- Master's degree in a behavioral health field is required
- License to practice independently as an LCSW, LMHC, LPC, LMFT, LMHP, or RN is required
- Preferred clinical knowledge in reviewing treatment plans for mental health and substance abuse
- Experience working with healthcare teams to review mental health services is preferred
