Licensed Behavioral Health Clinician
Job Summary
To support mental health and substance abuse care, the full-time Licensed Behavioral Health Clinician will perform clinical reviews, assess treatment appropriateness, and conduct prior authorization reviews remotely.
Key responsibilities
- Evaluate members' treatment for mental health and substance abuse to ensure medical appropriateness of care
- Conduct prior authorization and concurrent reviews for behavioral health services in accordance with regulatory guidelines
- Provide education to providers and families regarding behavioral health utilization processes and engage with healthcare teams to enhance care quality
Required qualifications
- Master's degree in a relevant field required
- License to practice independently as an LCSW, LMHC, LPC, LMFT, LMHP, or RN required
- 2-4 years of related experience in behavioral health or substance abuse
- Clinical knowledge of treatment plans related to mental health and substance abuse preferred
- Experience working with healthcare providers in reviewing care services preferred
