Licensed Clinical Pharmacist

Job Summary

To support a growing clinical team, the full-time Licensed Clinical Pharmacist will perform prior authorizations, conduct drug utilization reviews, and interface with healthcare providers while working remotely.

Key responsibilities

• Manage clinical programs related to health management, drug utilization review, and formulary development to ensure effective drug therapy
• Participate in the coverage determination process by reviewing requests and making coverage denial determinations based on specified criteria
• Monitor the quality and efficiency of the coverage determination process and provide clinical expertise for formulary decisions

Required qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Pharmacy or Pharm D with current, unrestricted licensure as a Registered Pharmacist
• Two years of work experience in a clinical setting or completion of a clinical or managed care pharmacy practice residency preferred
• Knowledge of the PBM industry, formulary management, and pharmacy claims principles
• Exceptional clinical skills and ability to apply sound clinical judgment
• Proficiency in drug literature evaluation and electronic databases
