Job Summary
Managing customs compliance for the LATAM region, the full-time Licensed Customs Compliance Leader will oversee the implementation of compliance strategies, ensure adherence to customs laws, and support cross-functional teams in optimizing business operations, all while working remotely.
Key responsibilities
- Operationalize the Wabtec Customs Compliance Enterprise Standard and ensure compliance with LATAM customs laws and regulations
- Lead customs compliance issue resolution and respond to government inquiries related to customs matters
- Conduct training on customs and trade compliance while collaborating with cross-functional teams to identify and mitigate compliance risks
Required qualifications
- Bachelor's degree and 9+ years of experience in customs compliance, including leadership experience
- Licensed Customs Broker or equivalent certification in the relevant country
- In-depth knowledge of local customs and trade regulations specific to LATAM
- Proficiency in both Spanish and English
- Demonstrated leadership and project management skills
