Job Summary
To support the National Maternal Mental Health Hotline, the full-time Licensed Hotline Counselor will provide psychosocial support, referrals, and resources to pregnant and postpartum individuals and their families while managing incoming inquiries remotely.
Key responsibilities
- Answer incoming telephonic, text, and chat inquiries, conducting assessments and providing immediate psychosocial support and brief interventions
- Educate help-seekers about perinatal mental health resources and refer them to appropriate services
- Maintain accurate documentation of cases in the Salesforce system in real-time, ensuring adherence to established policies
Required qualifications
- A bachelor's degree in a related field (psychology, social work, counseling, etc.) is preferred
- Must be a Licensed Mental Health Clinician or a Licensed Healthcare Professional with experience in maternal and child health
- Two years of work experience in the maternal and child health population
- Professional liability insurance coverage of at least $1,000,000 per occurrence
- Ability to manage conflict and multitask in a high-acuity mental health environment
