Licensed Lead Civil Engineer

Job Summary

Leading utility-scale solar photovoltaic projects, the full-time Licensed Lead Civil Engineer will manage civil engineering design, mentor team members, and collaborate with clients and internal design teams in a remote work environment.

Key responsibilities

• Lead and manage civil engineering design projects, ensuring effective communication and coordination
• Provide guidance and mentorship to engineers, fostering a collaborative and innovative work environment
• Develop comprehensive plans, specifications, and observation reports in accordance with utility-scale solar engineering practices

Required qualifications

• B.S. in Civil Engineering from an ABET accredited program or equivalent
• Civil Professional Engineer (PE) registration required; NCEES Council Record preferred
• Minimum of 8-10+ years of civil engineering experience, with at least 5+ years in utility-scale solar design preferred
• Proficiency in large scale solar grading design and earthwork calculations required
• Experience with stormwater management and permitting highly desired
