Licensed Lead Protection Engineer
Job Summary
Leading the design of high-voltage substations, the full-time Licensed Lead Protection Engineer will serve as a technical subject matter expert, developing innovative engineering solutions, mentoring junior engineers, and ensuring project success while working remotely or in a hybrid arrangement from various U.S. locations.
Key responsibilities
- Design substation protection and control systems, including one-line and three-line diagrams, schematics, and SCADA systems
- Develop protective relaying and control system designs for transmission and distribution substations
- Coordinate with multidisciplinary teams and clients to ensure successful project execution and compliance with QA/QC processes
Required qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering from an ABET accredited institution
- 10+ years of experience in substation protection and control design engineering
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications
- Professional Engineering (P.E.) License preferred
- Experience with protective relaying and control systems for substations ranging from 12kV to 500kV
