Job Summary
Providing project leadership within the Substation Engineering team, the full-time Licensed Lead Substation Engineer will manage client-facing substation projects ranging from 4kV to 345kV while ensuring adherence to critical deadlines in a remote work environment.
Key responsibilities:
- Lead project engineering efforts from scoping to final design and project closeout
- Perform quality control and assurance reviews while mentoring the engineering and design team
- Coordinate engineering and design efforts related to civil/structural aspects and client interactions
Required qualifications:
- Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering
- Professional Engineering Licensure (PE) required; candidates with Fundamentals of Engineering (FE) on the path to licensure will be considered
- Minimum of ten (10) years of experience in the electric utility industry
- Experience in utility substation engineering with a focus on electrical or physical design aspects
- Proficiency in AutoCAD and/or MicroStation is a plus
