Licensed Management Liability Counsel

Job Summary

Managing a portfolio of complex Management Liability claims, the full-time remote Licensed Management Liability Counsel will independently handle claims related to Directors & Officers Liability, Employment Practices Liability, and Fiduciary Liability while collaborating with various stakeholders to achieve optimal claims outcomes.

Key responsibilities

• Independently manage high-severity Management Liability claims, conducting thorough coverage analysis and preparing necessary documentation
• Direct litigation involving insured organizations and evaluate defense counsel, ensuring effective litigation strategies and budget management
• Build and maintain relationships with brokers, insureds, and carrier partners while providing insights into claims trends and portfolio performance

Required qualifications

• Juris Doctor (JD) degree and active bar membership
• 7-10 years of experience handling Management Liability claims
• Expertise in Directors & Officers Liability, Employment Practices Liability, and Fiduciary Liability coverage analysis
• Experience drafting complex reservation of rights letters and handling shareholder disputes
• Strong analytical and negotiation skills with a proven ability to manage complex claims independently
