Job Summary
Leading the commercial contracting efforts in a full-time remote capacity, the Managing Counsel, Commercial & Partnerships will negotiate complex agreements, advise on AI and data issues, and develop the contracts team within a collaborative legal department.
Key responsibilities
- Draft, review, and negotiate a variety of commercial agreements, including technology and data contracts
- Manage and develop the contracts team while providing training and mentorship on legal topics
- Build and maintain contracting playbooks, templates, and improve workflow processes in partnership with Legal Operations
Required qualifications
- 10+ years of experience in commercial and technology transactions, ideally with a mix of law firm and in-house roles
- JD from an ABA-accredited U.S. law school and active membership in at least one state bar
- Substantial experience in negotiating complex technology agreements, including SaaS and data licensing
- Demonstrated experience with AI and data provisions in commercial agreements
- Working knowledge of U.S. privacy laws as they apply to commercial transactions
