Licensed Medical Consultant

Job Summary

Seeking a full-time Licensed Medical Consultant, this role involves reviewing and evaluating clinical documentation for disability claims, providing expert medical analysis, and collaborating with a team in a remote work environment.

Key responsibilities

• Provide timely medical direction and opinions to team partners, supporting analyses with forensic reasoning
• Collaborate with fellow medical consultants to ensure comprehensive assessments of claims
• Gather medical information from healthcare providers to enhance understanding of claimants' functional abilities

Required qualifications

• Professional Degree (MD, DO, PhD, PsyD) with an active, unrestricted US medical license
• Board certification in a relevant specialty (Physical Medicine & Rehabilitation, Internal Medicine, Occupational Medicine, or Family Practice)
• Minimum of five years of clinical experience in the medical specialty
• Strong collaborative skills and ability to work in a fast-paced corporate environment
• Experience mentoring others and providing constructive feedback
