Job Summary

Providing medical management for patients in behavioral health, the part-time PRN Licensed Nurse Practitioner Behavioral Health will collaborate with psychiatrists and staff to assess, diagnose, and treat patients in various settings, including emergency departments and inpatient units, while working remotely on a flexible schedule of 4, 12-hour shifts per month.

Key responsibilities
  • Collaborate with psychiatric staff to perform acute assessments and recommend appropriate levels of care for patients
  • Place direct admit orders for inpatient behavioral health and assist with patient evaluations as needed
  • Educate staff, patients, and families while ensuring compliance with clinical standards and safety protocols
Required qualifications
  • Graduate of an NLN accredited school of nursing or equivalent
  • Graduate of an accredited Psychiatric-Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP) program
  • Master's or Doctorate degree in nursing required
  • Active Nurse Practitioner license in South Dakota, Minnesota, California, or Texas
  • Federal DEA and/or State DEA licensure required within 9 months of hire
