Licensed Orthodontic Consultant
Job Summary
To support a growing network of dental consultants, the part-time Licensed Orthodontic Consultant will review insurance claims for medical necessity and eligibility, process claim appeals, and communicate outcomes to providers while utilizing advanced dental AI technology in a remote capacity.
Key responsibilities
- Authorize or deny predeterminations and claims by reviewing radiographs and supporting documentation
- Evaluate appeals, request additional information, and make revised claim decisions
- Participate in training sessions and provide feedback to improve claims review productivity and accuracy
Required qualifications
- D.D.S. or D.M.D. from an accredited dental school
- Board certification in Orthodontics
- Minimum of 5 years of clinical experience
- Prior claims review experience strongly preferred (2+ years)
- Active, unrestricted dental license
