Licensed Practical Nurse

Job Summary

Supporting psychiatric prescribers, the remote Licensed Practical Nurse will manage patient medication inquiries, coordinate prior authorizations, and facilitate communication between patients, pharmacies, and insurance companies.

Key responsibilities

• Respond to patient medication questions and document relevant information regarding side effects and treatment concerns
• Coordinate medication prior authorizations and address coverage issues with pharmacies and insurance companies
• Track laboratory testing and vital signs, ensuring timely follow-up and accurate documentation in the electronic health record

Required qualifications

• Graduation from an accredited practical nursing program
• Active, unrestricted LPN or valid practice privilege in the state of service
• Experience providing nursing care in a psychiatric or behavioral health setting
• Knowledge of commonly prescribed psychiatric medications and their monitoring needs
• Proficiency with electronic health records and clinical documentation
