Job Summary
To support critical infrastructure projects, the full-time Licensed Principal Protection Engineer will lead the design of high-voltage substation protection and control systems, develop innovative engineering solutions, and mentor junior engineers, with the flexibility to work remotely or in a hybrid schedule from various U.S. locations.
Key responsibilities
- Design substation protection and control systems, including one-line and three-line diagrams, schematics, and SCADA systems
- Develop protective relaying and control system designs for transmission and distribution substations
- Coordinate with multidisciplinary teams and clients to ensure successful project execution and compliance with QA/QC processes
Required qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering from an ABET accredited institution
- 15+ years of experience in substation protection and control design engineering
- Professional Engineering (P.E.) License
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications
- Experience mentoring junior engineers and overseeing engineering design packages
