Licensed Principal Transmission Engineer
Job Summary
Seeking a full-time Licensed Principal Transmission Engineer to manage and lead high voltage transmission line projects remotely, utilizing PLS-CADD software and acting as a primary client-facing Subject Matter Expert while mentoring junior engineers and ensuring project compliance with client requirements.
Key responsibilities
- Design and coordinate high voltage transmission lines, ensuring quality control and compliance with client specifications
- Facilitate collaboration among project team members and serve as the primary client contact to define project scope
- Conduct internal training presentations, mentor junior engineers, and assist with proposal bids and internal design standards improvement
Required qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Civil/Structural, Mechanical, or Electrical Engineering from an ABET accredited school; Master's degree preferred
- Minimum of 20 years of relevant transmission line engineering experience
- Professional Engineer (PE) license required; licensure in multiple states preferred
- Expertise in PLS-CADD and PLS-POLE, with the ability to train others
- Previous experience working with or for a Utility is required
