Licensed Privacy Counsel

Job Summary

To cover temporary leave, a contract Privacy Counsel will work remotely, advising on employee privacy and supporting the Customer Success & Support organization while collaborating with HR, Security, and Employment Legal teams.

Key responsibilities

• Advise HR and Support teams on employee privacy throughout the employee lifecycle
• Handle employee Data Subject Access Requests (DSARs), including scoping and exemptions
• Contribute to AI governance and privacy assessments for new data uses and vendor tools

Required qualifications

• J.D. and active bar membership in at least one U.S. jurisdiction
• 6+ years of privacy experience at a law firm, in-house, or both
• Direct experience with employee DSARs and HR data governance
• Experience advising on new data uses and AI tools as a data controller
• Working knowledge of GDPR, UK GDPR, and U.S. state privacy laws
