Licensed Product Counsel
Job Summary
Working remotely, the full-time Senior Director, Product, Security and Privacy will partner with product management, engineering, and security teams to ensure compliance with laws and risk management throughout the product lifecycle.
Key Responsibilities
- Act as the primary legal partner for product and engineering teams, advising on legal issues throughout the product development lifecycle
- Provide guidance on privacy and data protection matters, and partner with security and compliance teams on incident response and audits
- Monitor emerging laws and regulations affecting enterprise software and propose mitigation strategies for legal risks associated with new technologies
Required Qualifications
- JD or equivalent law degree; licensed and in good standing in at least one jurisdiction
- 10+ years of relevant legal experience, with a focus on product, technology, or commercial matters
- Experience supporting enterprise software or cloud services
- Strong knowledge of software licensing, open-source licensing concepts, and privacy frameworks
- Ability to translate complex legal issues into clear, actionable guidance for diverse audiences
