Licensed Product Counsel
Job Summary
Working remotely in a full-time capacity, the Licensed Product Counsel will provide legal guidance throughout the product lifecycle, focusing on product development, AI, data privacy, and global regulatory compliance while collaborating closely with cross-functional teams.
Key responsibilities
- Serve as a trusted business partner, collaborating with product and engineering teams from concept to market launch
- Proactively identify and assess legal and regulatory risks associated with products and services
- Draft, review, and negotiate various agreements related to product development and usage
Required qualifications
- Juris Doctor (JD) with admission to at least one state bar
- Minimum of 3 years of substantive legal experience, preferably in-house at a SaaS company
- Demonstrated knowledge of AI and data privacy law and regulations
- Experience advising on AI-powered products and navigating global regulatory complexities
- Strong project management skills and ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment
