Licensed Product Counsel

Job Summary

Partnering closely with Product Management, Engineering, Security, and Go-To-Market teams, the remote Senior Director, Product, Security and Privacy Counsel will manage legal compliance throughout the product lifecycle, advising on product development, open-source licensing, and privacy matters to enable responsible innovation in enterprise software.

Key Responsibilities

• Act as the primary legal partner for product and engineering teams, advising on legal issues throughout the product development lifecycle
• Provide guidance on privacy and data protection matters, partnering with Security and Compliance teams on incident response and audits
• Monitor emerging laws and regulations affecting enterprise software and translate them into practical guidance for product teams

Required Qualifications

• JD or equivalent law degree; licensed and in good standing in at least one jurisdiction
• 10+ years of relevant legal experience, focusing on product, technology, or commercial matters
• Experience supporting enterprise software, cloud services, or developer-focused products
• Strong knowledge of software licensing, open-source licensing concepts, and privacy frameworks
• Ability to translate complex legal issues into clear, actionable guidance for diverse audiences
