Job Summary
Leading the professional coding operations remotely, the full-time Licensed Professional Coding Director will oversee coding quality, audit, and education functions, ensuring compliance and operational excellence while collaborating with clinical and operational leaders.
Key responsibilities
- Provide enterprise leadership for professional coding strategy, governance, and operational standards
- Oversee the Professional Coding Quality and Education Program, including audit strategy and coder education
- Lead the Professional Coding Compliance Program to ensure adherence to regulations and organizational policies
Required qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in a work-related discipline/field from an accredited college or university
- 10+ years of progressive leadership experience, including 5+ years as an EPIC system user
- RHIA, RHIT, CCS, or CPC certification required upon hire
- Knowledge of federal and state regulations affecting healthcare practices
- Ability to develop long-range business plans and foster effective working relationships
