Licensed Underwriter Lead

Job Summary

Managing the review and underwriting of broker submissions for new and renewal large commercial property business, the full-time Licensed Underwriter Lead will negotiate pricing, define coverage, and ensure compliance while working remotely.

Key responsibilities

• Evaluates new and renewal business in accordance with underwriting guidelines to achieve profit and growth goals
• Manages the preparation of program renewal specifications and coordinates with insurance markets
• Oversees and delegates work to underwriters and administrative staff, ensuring timely and accurate completion of tasks

Required qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree or equivalent combination of education and experience
• Eight or more years of related work experience with knowledge of the insurance industry
• Valid Insurance License with requirements for renewal
• Prior supervisory experience in an underwriting environment
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office products
