Life Actuary Consultant
Job Summary
To support regulatory projects, the full-time salaried Consulting Life Actuary will assist in performing the actuarial portion of financial examinations and may also contribute to health or property and casualty projects remotely.
Key responsibilities
- Assist in the actuarial portion of financial examinations and regulatory projects
- Coordinate assignments and oversee analysts as part of a team of actuaries
- Communicate with regulatory clients and potentially serve as a peer reviewer for other actuaries' work
Required qualifications
- ASA or near-ASA designation
- 4-8 years of actuarial experience
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and Adobe Acrobat PDF
- Regulatory consulting experience is preferred but not required
- Experience with asset adequacy analysis and principles-based reserves is preferred but not required
