Life Claims Examiner
Job Summary
To support timely adjudication of group life and AD&D claims, the full-time Life Claims Examiner will review eligibility, make initial claim decisions, and ensure accurate payments to beneficiaries while providing exceptional service to internal and external customers.
Key responsibilities
- Review and investigate claims to determine eligibility based on policy provisions and regulatory requirements
- Communicate claim status and decisions to policyholders, insureds, and beneficiaries while maintaining accurate claim records
- Educate policyholders and brokers on proper policy administration and address any discrepancies in policy language
Required qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent work experience; college degree preferred
- Previous experience in Life and Disability claims is required
- 1-2 years of cumulative relevant experience is preferred
