Job Summary
Evaluating complex life insurance risks, the full-time remote Life Underwriter will assess mortality and financial factors, collaborate with distribution teams, and influence underwriting strategy to deliver optimal outcomes for clients.
Key responsibilities
- Evaluate and manage all aspects of life insurance applications, determining risk acceptance and modifications
- Deliver first-offer, best-offer outcomes to drive sales while maintaining quality service to advisors and third-party firms
- Communicate underwriting decisions effectively to customers and foster relationships with advisors and brokerage partners
Required qualifications
- High school diploma or GED
- 3+ years of life insurance or Long Term Care underwriting experience
- Underwriting authority limit of $3 million or more
- Experience with both term and permanent life insurance products
- Demonstrated ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment
