Bridging automated data workflows and traditional underwriting, the remote Life Underwriting Auditor will conduct audits and case reviews, ensuring accuracy and adherence to guidelines while collaborating with cross-functional teams.
Key responsibilities
- Conduct underwriting audits and case reviews to ensure accuracy, quality, and adherence to guidelines
- Analyze medical, personal, and financial data to make final decisions on individual applications, with a delegation of authority of up to $8 million
- Evaluate automated underwriting engine outputs and update audit reviews as models evolve, identifying gaps in rules for actionable updates
Required qualifications
- 10+ years of life insurance underwriting experience at a leading carrier or reinsurer
- Experience conducting various types of underwriting audits and case reviews, including post-issue audits
- Familiarity with automated underwriting engines, data inputs, and predictive models
- Strong analytical and technical skills for data analysis
- Proven ability to manage high volumes and collaborate with cross-functional teams
