Responsible for ensuring effective risk selection, the full-time Life Underwriting Consultant will evaluate cases with approval authority up to $7,500,000 while collaborating with Underwriting, New Business, and distribution groups in a remote work environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Demonstrate competency in underwriting tasks and provide mentorship to team members
- Make complex decisions on cases and defend them effectively
- Continuously seek process improvements and apply Lean principles to achieve business results
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education and experience
- Minimum of 6 years of life or health underwriting experience
- Proficient in AWD or similar systems, MS Office, and risk assessment
- Strong financial analytical skills
